Alarm 53 Carrier Transicold
By Ing. Gerson Mora – October 17, 2022
Alarm 53 on Carrier Transicold units is triggered when the container’s temperature is not within the normal range or fails to reach the desired value within a specified time. Below are some key troubleshooting steps to address this issue:
Possible Causes and Solutions:
- Leaking Doors:
Inspect all doors to ensure they are completely sealed and closed properly. - Defrost Cycle:
Initiate a manual defrost cycle. Ensure the cycle completes automatically. - Low Refrigerant Pressure:
Check for Alarm 18, which may indicate low refrigerant levels. - Evaporator Airflow:
Verify the presence of Alarm 56, which could signal airflow issues in the evaporator. - System Pressures:
The low and high system pressures should be within the normal range and match the values displayed on the system panel.
